A friendly welcome
If you are planning to ride in Ethiopia, we strongly recommend that you ride with our local support. Our local cycling guides and drivers will help you to feel safe; they will help you if any problems arise; and they will show you things and places that you might otherwise not see. Unlike in other regions of Ethiopia, in Tigray cyclists are a familiar sight out on the roads and are generally respected by the public. Because we are cyclists and have a close rapport with local people, you too are likely to be welcomed here as a cyclist and treated with respect.
Fully supported rides
We will meet you on arrival at Mekelle Airport. We will help you assemble your bike or provide a bike for you if you are renting from us. We will arrange your luggage transfers while you are cycling from one place to the next. We will give you refreshments on the road, including refilling water bottles and finding nice places for coffee stops. We are also there to help you with any mechanical problems or issues that you might encounter on your ride.
Vehicles and guides
Where there are two or more clients, you will have a vehicle with you. We also arrange local guides for visiting churches and other historical sites on your itinerary.
Clean and comfortable hotels
We understand the importance of a clean and comfortable hotel and good food at the end of a day’s cycling. Your hotel and meal arrangements will all be taken care of by our Operations Team travelling with you.
